AA Service Connections - where are our GSR's, - is anyone going to disctrict meetings?

I used to be a GSR for my old homegroup, and it was a great experience. I don't know of anyone in the Anthem area, Desert Hills, Carefree, Cave Creek, etc that is connected to our District 8 activities... (That doesn't mean there aren't any!) I just don't know about them. I have been asking around Anthem, and we seem to be really sorely lacking representation. Who can pick up the gauntlet on this. With gas prices (well, all prices) what they are, I imagine that it is not something that anyone can just change their schedule / budget and do, but come on, this is our link to AA we are talking about. Who is out there willing to do this commitment?? It usually requires about 2 extra nights a month, and then being the reporter back to the groups that you visit in our area. Is anyone out there?
